The Wolves play three of their remaining five games in December at the Allstate Arena; Chicago, which has won a season-high three straight games on home ice, has notched a 6-4-0-2 record at the Allstate Arena overall this season.

-- Bill Sweatt: Notched 2 goals and 3 points in three games last week after being reassigned by Vancouver on Dec. 13, which included his second multiple-point outing of the season on Thursday (G, A) ... Made his NHL debut in two games with the Canucks this year ... Shares third on the Wolves with 6 goals and fourth with 12 points in 22 games this season ... Shares second on the squad with a +6 plus/minus rating

--- Victor Oreskovich: Shared the team lead with 2 goals and 3 points in three games last week, which included the first multiple-goal game of his career on Friday (2G) ... Shares sixth on Chicago with 9 points (4G, 5A) in 16 games this season ... Collected 5 points (3G, 2A) in his last six outings ... Skated in one game with Vancouver this year, accruing seven penalty minutes

Named a playing captain for the Western Conference squad at the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic

--- Eddie Lack: Backstopped the Wolves to two wins in three starts last week, which included surrendering just one goal in both of his victories ... Recorded a 2.48 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage in 16 games this season (5-7-3) ... Has received only 31 goals of support in his 14 starts this year


WOLF TRACKS


--- Chicago, which has won four of its last five contests, shares third place in the Midwest Division with 30 points (13-10-1-3) through 27 games this season; the Wolves share seventh in the Western Conference, but hold at least one game in hand on everyone in the conference except the Milwaukee Admirals and Texas Stars.

--- The Wolves have surrendered just 20 goals in their 13 victories this season (13-0-0-0), compared to allowing 53 markers in their 14 defeats (0-10-1-3); Chicago ranks 12th in the AHL with a 2.70 goals-against average this year.

--- Chicago has potted 14 first-period goals in its last nine games, which includes four of its six goals scored in three outings last week; the Wolves have scored just nine goals in the second and third frames over their last nine outings.

--- The Wolves have been perfect on the penalty kill in 15 of their 27 contests this season, which includes thwarting all four of Toronto’s attempts on Sunday; Chicago shares ninth in the AHL with a 83.3 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (95 of 114).

--- Chicago has been blanked on the man-advantage in its last three outings (zero of 11) after posting four power-play strikes in its previous three contests (four of 16); the Wolves rank 14th in the league with a 18.1 efficiency rating on the power play this season (21 of 116).

--- Wolves forward Nathan Longpre will visit the Lisle Public Library, 2777 Front Street, at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, as part of the team’s “Read to Succeed” program, presented by Vista Health System and Butternut Bread. Members of the squad will make library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 600,000 children since its inception in 1995.
